We work with writers and filmmakers worldwide, guiding projects from pitches to scripts through production, post-production, and distribution.   With a deep understanding of the evolving distribution landscape, Element 8 is uniquely positioned to respond to the global buyers’ and partners’ needs by delivering unique and compelling films for their changing platforms. 

Element 8 was formed in 2015 and reorganized in 2025 with new partners and direction, our core commitment to excellence remains unchanged.

JIN ISHIMOTO

President

Jin is the Founder and President of Element 8 Entertainment, focused on developing and producing high-quality television series and films that reimagine and add a diverse perspective to reach a wider audience. His expertise includes concept development, script development, pitch preparation, co-production financing, production, post-production, and international Relationships.

His past work includes project collaborations with notable producers such as Chuck Gordon, Tony To, and Bruce Berman. He has worked with major companies, including Warner Bros., AMC Networks, PBS Masterpiece, HBO, Netflix, Fox Network, ABC Networks, UKTV, RTE, ZDF, Sundance Channel, and many others.

He is an Executive Producer on Miss Scarlet and the Duke (now Miss Scarlet), which is currently in its fifth season (2025) and one of the highest-rated series on the PBS Masterpiece network. He also served as an Executive Producer on Clean Sweep, which premiered on RTE and AMC+, and became #1 new series in Ireland and top five new series on Netflix U.K. upon its 2nd-window release in November 2024.

Prior to becoming a Producer, Jin began his career working for Bruce Berman at Warner Bros. and later partnered with Tony To at Ensemble Entertainment. He is an active Producers Guild of America member and a former WGA-W screenwriter. He began his career as a writer and director, winning script contests, and film awards for his original scripts.

He was the first Japanese graduate from the prestigious Peter Stark Producing Program at USC Film School, earning an MFA. He studied Economics at UC Berkeley and holds a Master’s in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica. His unique perspective and storytelling skills stem from living in various countries, including Japan, India, France, and Kenya. His hobbies include yoga, motorbiking, meditation, travel, theater, and VR.

He remains curious about life, and he believes in treating everyone with respect and kindness.

Elizabeth Boykewich

Producer

Elizabeth Boykewich’s two-decade-long career in casting has shaped her into an exceptional producer, leveraging her deep understanding of talent and storytelling. Her expertise in identifying emerging stars and crafting groundbreaking television series, including Pretty LittleLiars, Grown-ish, and The Bold Type, has made her a trailblazer in the industry. As a senior casting executive at Disney, Boykewich didn’t just find actors; she built the future of television, ensuring her projects resonated deeply with millennial and Gen-Z audiences. Boykewich’s experience in casting has uniquely equipped her to oversee every aspect of production. From securing talent deals to strategizing multiplatform content, her ability to elevate talent and create cultural phenomena has been central to her success as a producer. She has shaped shows that not only dominate the industry but also drive inclusivity and representation, earning accolades like NAACP, Teen Choice, Peoples Choice and GLAAD Awards along the way. Her keen instincts and hands-on approach continue to guide rising stars to long-term success. Today, Boykewich applies her wealth of knowledge to producing projects like the sold out runs of the Irish Folk Horror play SHARD (now in film development) and the award winning OWNERSHIP for LaGraLane Productions. 

Boykewich is a theater director specializing exclusively in original world premiere plays (most recently Blake Shield’s SEVENTH BREATH), as well as a respected mentor and sought-after industry leader, helping shape the future of entertainment by nurturing the next wave of creative talent.

 

A respected creative and producer, she continues to shape the industry with her work at Element 8 and her involvement with Women InFilm, The Television Academy, The Casting Society of America and as a board member for InHouse Theater Company. For Boykewich, entertainment is not just about finding talent—it’s about defining an era.
